"The American Wine Society"

The American Wine Society is an incredibly rich website and is obviously a great precursor to a wonderful source of information and activities provided for its' members. You should read what they offer, it is obviously the top of the line in wine societies and everything they present is so well done. I will provide some of the areas that I found to be of interest but it is really only the tip of the preverbial iceberg. By now you can tell that this site has impressed us beyond reason, well yes, but check it out you will see an awesome wine site. The link to this site is provided below.

I have included a couple of their lead-ins to their areas and I hope it serves to stimulate your curiosity about this website. The Introduction:" Welcome to the American Wine Society website. We're sure that whatever your need for wine education, wine appreciation, AWS chapter and membership information, wine competition results, or links to wine industry information... we have it here for you.

The American Wine Society is devoted to educating people on all aspects of wine. Our members include wine novices, experts, grape growers, amateur and professional wine makers, chefs, wine appreciators, wine educators, restaurateurs and anyone wanting to learn more about wine and gastronomy."

Traveling with the AWS

This Wine Society sponsors trips to some of the finest winegrowing regions in the country. Recently, AWS members traveled to Oregon and Santa Barbara, CA, for 3 days of celebration and education, hosted by the areas’ premier winemakers, grape growers, and chefs.Regional tours are sponsored by chapters and AWS regional vice presidents. You can always depend on having fun, fellowship, and education. We are currently forming plans to offer trips in 2007-08. Please check back frequently to obtain the latest information. If you have a special desire for an AWS trip, please feel free tocontact our Executive Director, Mary Ann Coskery, and share your ideas. You can reach her at 678-377-7070 "

We hope you enjoy your visit to this fine Wine Society!
