Handcrafted Pens is just the coolest website on "exotic wooden pencils and pens." I was in email contact with Joe the site builder and he is an interesting person who has put together this unique website. It is not a huge site yet but there is lots there to be worth visiting . Use Joe's "contact form" and tell him some interesting aspect about different pens or pencils that you have encountered or just say hello to Joe.
Here is an intro from his site and again I think this is a very pleasant place to spent some time. Cheers! Murray
I have enjoyed woodworking for many years, although I was not always the best at it. A few years ago I was injured in an accident at work and heavy lifting was out of the question. I hated having to give up my hobby completely so I searched for an answer.A large problem with woodworking is dust control. One day I was looking for dust control equipment hoping that I could soon get back into my workshop. This is when I stumbled onto an article about woodturning on a lathe and making small turnings such as Pens & Pencils, Wooden Keychains, Wooden Darts, etc. I think it must have been fate because this was the perfect hobby for me. I could still be involved in woodworking and make beautiful items from exotic hardwoods without killing my back! One thing led to another and soon I was making wooden pens and pencils for everyone I knew. I fell in love with this hobby and try to tell everyone that will listen just how fun and rewarding it can be.
