"Rush Creek Wines"We visited Rush Creek Wines, a local winery for a tasting of their best vintages this past weekend! What better way to spend a cold, wintry day! This local enterprise specializes in Fruit Wines. When we read that they had one called "Decadence" which combined the flavors and aromas of strawberries and chocolate,we were there! Rush Creek Winery is located 7 km. south of Aylmer, Ontario off Highway 73, on Jamestown Line. Their website is listed below for more information. We were pleasantly surprised by their shop and all it has to offer. In addition to the wines, they have wine inspired gifts, custom gift baskets, art work from a local artist and more. Their wine jellies were set out for tasting, and wow, were they good. They even advertise a light lunch, with a glass of their finest and dessert. Too bad we had already eaten prior to going, or we would have tried this as well. Oh well, there is always the next time! They have many varieties of fruit wine available for tasting. We certainly didn't try them all, but we did go for the Decadence Strawberry Chocolate Wine and the double gold award winning Pearfection - Dry Pear Wine. Both were excellent as you will read from our reviews. Rush Creek offers tours of their winery that can be set up in advance. And they ship anywhere in Canada, so if you are not close enough for a visit, you can still order from them. When you visit their web site, you will notice that they have some special events planned that sound like a lot of fun. P.S.... We appreciated the hospitality of our hostess during our visit, and we definitely plan to return soon.
