Wine Shows
As a novice or expert in wine tasting, you will find that attending Wine Shows is truly informative, very worthwhile and great fun!
The most recent one we attended was called "The London Wine and Food Show" in London, Ontario. There were numerous events held over 3 days. Topics included:
Tasting Seminars; Talks on Wine Making; Why Visit a Winery; Starting a Wine Cellar;
The Art of Pairing Wine and Food. There were also numerous stations where you could purchase samples. It was a great way to discover new vintages and what to pair them with.
You might not be able to attend one of the large shows in the traditional wine country, but often the large wineries are present at smaller festivals.
We would urge you to find one in your area, to learn more about this fascinating subject and perhaps come away with a new perspective.
Your Local wineries often have open houses to introduce a new season's vintages as well. Watch for listings in the newspaper, or on-line.
